Venice was so dreamy that it deserves two posts.

On our first day we woke up and went to San Marco square first after figuring out the water boat taxis the hard way (30 min detour). The square and church were incredible. When the ride rises, the water comes through the cracks and forms puddles in the square. It’s beautiful. We walked around the tourist part of Venice and then headed to the Peggy Guggenheim collection. I absolutely adored her collection. She had some of my very favorite artists including Jackson Pollock, Picasso, Max Ernst, and Rothko. Peggy had a very interesting life and it was exciting to learn about. Her house sat right on the water and had a wonderful view. I absolutely loved all the collections in the museum. We then drank wine and are pizza by the canal. We enjoyed walking around the smaller canals and finding delicious gelato.
